Quorum (11/18)

JANESVARA DASA Janesvara dasa, representative of the Scandinavian Regional Council, was unable to attend the meeting because of serious health problems. The Euro GBC Body prays for his quick recovery and looks forward to having his association soon.

INABILITY TO ELECT A NEW EURO GBC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AT THE LAST EURO GBC MEETING All the members present at this meeting who were absent at the Prabhupadadesh meeting concluded that their shared absence was an unusual coincidence. They expressed a sense of high importance for the existence of the Euro GBC Body and gave commitments to attend future meetings.

SUPPORT FOR THE GRIHASTA ASHRAM IN ISKCON EUROPE Prithvi-pati dasa will provide a document with the Hungarian model for the grihasta asram. This will be a topic for the ELM 2008 meeting. Action: Dina Dayala dasa

TRADEMARKS Praghosa dasa will inquire whether it is possible to trademark ‘The Hare Krishna Movement’ and the cost for doing it.

EUROPEAN SANKIRTAN FESTIVAL [Guideline] The Euro GBC supports Dina Sharana devi dasi’s proposal for holding an annual European Sankirtan Festival at the end of the year. She should continue to work on the proposal (how to have a festival with European standards) and present that at the next ELM meeting.

DOLE The Euro GBC gives full support to Hridaya Caitanya dasa for taking up the service of an administrator/manager (gerant) and taking the responsibility of coordinating the task force in regard to the Dole project, specifically between the SCI and the Dole property. Hridaya Caitanya dasa will seek advice from Lilasuka dasa.

UK LOAN Dina Sharana devi dasi gave a report on the UK loan for Germany. Since some of the promised pledges are still not transferred and some contributors gave up,
20,000 Euros are missing to pay back the loan.

STATUS OF PRITHU DASA The GBC EC should be consulted in regard to the present status of Prithu dasa and permission for him to give classes. Action: Dina Dayala dasa

ELECTION OF THE EURO-GBC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE [Resolved]

The following Euro GBC EC officers were elected.

Chairman: Narakriti dasa
1st Vice-Chairman: Praghosa dasa
2nd Vice-Chairman: Sivarama Swami Secretary to the Euro GBC: Dina Dayala dasa

In the case of need, the Euro GBC will appoint a Special Duty Officer.

DATES FOR THE NEXT ELM AND EURO GBC MEETINGS Proposal is that ELM 2008 will be in Radhadesh on 4th, 5th and 6th October. Euro GBC meeting is on 7th October. The dates for the ELM will be confirmed by the ELM Executive Committee at the beginning of April.
